Mr Mohammed stressed that if citizens fail to demand accountability from their leaders, they will miss out on the benefits and progress they deserve.
“There is no reward on your vote in heaven from any politician. There is nothing you will get from them after death”. Mr Yakubu Mohammed a native of Abesewa in the Ahafo Ano South East said this at a gathering in the community on Tuesday, August 27, 2024.

“After voting for them (NPP) for all these years with nothing to show, today we have people who claim to be from the NPP telling us they will not provide us with water, but rather go from house to house with money trying to buy your votes”, Mr Yawkubu Mohammed stated.
“During their eight years in office, they could not give you money, but today they have come to offer you money only trying to buy your votes”, he stressed.
In his engagement, Mr. Yakubu noted that the NPP has started sharing money in his community in an attempt to deceive the people and vote for them.
But the parliamentary candidate his interaction with his people further advised them to take the money and still go ahead and vote against the NPP in the December polls.
“They will bring the money but keep it in mind that it is not coming from their pocket, it is for all of us intended to be used for development. That money was supposed to be your school fees, it was to be used to build companies for you to get employed so don’t reject it”.
