Help Me Change supports Richard’s clubfoot treatment

The Oyerepa TV humanitarian programme, Help Me Change, has supported Richard, a child living with clubfoot, by facilitating his medical treatment at Duayaw Nkwanta Hospital to help correct the condition affecting his feet and legs.

Richard’s story highlights the importance of timely medical intervention and the role of community support in helping children born with treatable physical conditions improve their mobility and quality of life.

Clubfoot is a congenital condition in which one or both feet are twisted inward or downward. Without appropriate treatment, the condition can affect a child’s ability to stand and walk normally.

However, with early diagnosis and proper medical care, many children with clubfoot can achieve significant improvements in mobility.

Through its intervention, Help Me Change arranged for Richard to receive treatment at Duayaw Nkwanta Hospital, where he received medical care to correct the condition.

The intervention has helped Richard walk more freely, offering hope for improved mobility and a better quality of life.

The Help Me Change programme continues to highlight the needs of vulnerable people and promote compassion, collective responsibility and timely intervention as ways of transforming lives.
