A police officer who was arrested for sexually harassing a female victim has been remanded by the Sunyani District Court B.
Prosecutors of the Ghana Police Service on Monday, November 29, 2021, placed Lance Corporal Victor Antwi Yeboah of the Bono Regional Police Command, before the Sunyani District Court B to face charges of assault contrary to Section 84 of the Criminal Offences Act 29 and indecent assault contrary to Section 103 of the Criminal Offences Act 29.
Lance Corporal Victor Antwi Yeboah was seen in a viral video allegedly sexually harassing a female in a car.
A statement by the Police stated that upon reviewing the video, an investigation into the incident was launched. Preliminary investigation indicated that the male person involved in that shameful and despicable act is a Police officer stationed at the Regional Operations Unit, Bono Regional Police Command.
