0The Electoral Commission of Ghana today at a press conference has announced that it has been able to register 251,149 persons at the ongoing voters registration exercise which is in day 7 out of the 21 days.
Speaking to the media, Deputy Commissioner in charge of corporate affairs, Dr. Bossman Eric Asare opined that the Electoral Commission has been able to deal with the challenges they encountered during day 1 of the Registration process.
According to him, the commission is committed in ensuring all qualified persons get registered so they can take part in the December 7th general election per the 1992 constitution.
Dr. Bossman Asare urged political parties not to stop any from registering, rather they should follow the challenge process for the law to take it due course.
He pleaded with the media not concentrate more on the challenges of the ongoing voters registration exercise,rather they should inform Ghanaians about the good work the commission is doing the voters registration exercise.
