The Chief Executive Officer of GLITZ Africa, Madam Claudia Lumor, has urged financial and corporate organisations in the country to allow employees to wear Ghanaian fabrics daily.
This comes in response to the 2nd Lady’s recent call for Ghanaians to embrace Ghanaian fabrics during the launch of the ‘Wear Ghana Campaign’ over the weekend. The move aims to promote Ghanaian prints and fabrics worldwide.
During an interview on Oyerepa Breakfast Time with host Kwesi Parker Wilson, Claudia Lumor emphasized the quality and beauty of Ghanaian fabrics, encouraging Ghanaians to take pride in wearing them. She believes that Ghanaian fabric is superior and should be celebrated by all.
During the interview, Claudia was asked whether banks and corporate organizations should consider making Ghana prints a regular part of their attire, replacing suits and ties. In response, Claudia confidently expressed, “Our identity lies in our Ghana prints. We should embrace it, cherish it, and wear it with pride.”
“Ghana fabric is now beautiful and quality. So it’s about time banks and all cooperate institutions began to be creative just like hotels and restaurants that put on Ghana prints. It helps in promoting tourism.” She emphatically stated.
Claudia Lumor added “We need to come together and promote our own. We don’t have to wait for the whites to take over.”
