Private legal practitioner, Maurice Ampaw has slammed Lawyer Akoto Ampaw for leading a crusade to oppose Anti-LGBTQ+ Bill.
Fifteen renowned legal, academic, and civil professionals led by Lawyer Akoto Ampaw have filed a memorandum to Parliament seeking for the dismissal of anti-LGBTQ+ bill.
According to him, Akoto Ampaw has really disappointed him. And he (Mr. Maurice) thanked God that Akoto Ampaw is not his family member, he would have cast aside of him (Akoto Ampaw)
“I’m highly disappointed in Akoto Ampaw….I thank God that is not my family member…I would have disowned him”. Lawyer Maurice told Nana Yaw Mensah Joel host of Oyerepa Breakfast Show on Oyerepa FM.
“I have regretted, ‘Ampaw’ is my surname because of that crazy man. I would have disowned Akoto Ampaw if he were to be my family member. He’s a big disgrace, such a person shouldn’t be tolerated in the society because he is not a right thinking member. I think he needs to go back to a law school”. He added.
Lawyer Maurice Ampaw showed disinterest in Akoto’s ambition to fight against the LGBTQI bill.
Lawyer Akoto Ampaw is interested in fighting for the rights of those engaged in LGBTQI. He claims the bill will infringe the rights of those individuals, hence, they must fight for it.
