Chef Failatu Abdul-Razak, a renowned chef from Tamale in the Northern region, has achieved a remarkable feat by setting a new Guinness World Record for the longest cooking marathon by an individual.
Chef Failatu dedicated an astonishing 227 hours to this extraordinary culinary challenge, tirelessly cooking for a continuous period of 10 days. This incredible achievement surpasses the previous record held by Ugandan chef Dorcus Mirembe, affectionately known as Mama D, whose cooking marathon lasted for 144 hours and 20 minutes.
The news of Chef Failatu’s triumph has spread like wildfire, captivating the attention of not only the residents of Tamale but also those in the surrounding areas. The community has been buzzing with excitement and admiration for his remarkable endurance and culinary skills.
Hundreds of residents from Tamale and its environs trooped to the Modern City Hotel in Tamale to witness the record-breaking by Chef Faila.
The last day of the cooking marathon was graced by high-powered delegations from the Overlord of Dagbon Ndan Ya Naa, politicians, Army Chiefs, and Celebrities among others.
