The Church of Pentecost [COP] New Tafo Area Estate Department has coordinated a one-day seminar for the Church’s Ministers, District Estate Committees, Presiding Elders, and all Local Building Committees.
The occasion which was suspected to sharpen the Church’s leaders on the new laws overseeing the securing of land and its documentation fell off last Saturday in the COP – Ebenezer Assembly (F-line) hall.
The special guest of honour (main speaker of the workshop) Lawyer Angelina Awa (Ashanti Regional Head/Registrar – Land Registration Division of Lands Commission who spoke in an interview with Oyerepafmonline.com said, people and co-operate bodies like the congregation is qualified to keep the laws of Ghana since they make it clear for everybody to enlist a land that has been procured for an undertaking. The laws likewise require all people to have a registration license before the foundation of a structure. In this way, it is vital for them to do the required documentation of each bought land.
She said the new land act denies land-guards, accordingly, before the procurement of any land, it is crucial for all people and co-operate entities (purchasers) to do due diligence to know, regardless of whether the seller is the legitimate owner, and furthermore has the necessary documents.
Once more, people and coordinate bodies should enlist any tranquility of land bought to make it safe for use.
Apostle Samuel Antwi-COP New Tafo Area Head who clarified the intention behind the class said, it was coordinated to “show our Ministers, District Estate Committees, Presiding Elders and all Local Building Committees to have inside and out information on the new land act.”
