Founder of the United Front Party (UFP), Nana Agyenim Boateng popularly known as Gyataba has lashed the people within the Ashanti Region for always rallying behind the NPP government despite its inability to develop the region.
According to Gyataba the people in Ashanti all turned wise men during former President John Dramani Mahama’s reign, they censured him severely irrespective of the developmental projects he was embarking on in the region but the same people have kept mute in this Akufo-Addo’s NPP dreadful administration.
“We saw wise men in Ashanti when John Mahama was President, we criticized him severely when he was offering us (Asanteman) with good projects but we kept mute immediately Nana Addo became President of Ghana.”
Speaking on Oyerepa Fm’s morning show on Thursday, he stated that, many people in the Ashanti region thought Nana Addo had extraordinary leadership qualities to rule Ghana but he has proven, he lacks those traits and this has brought a big disgrace to Asanteman, I can say that authoritatively.”
Gyataba highlighted that Nana Addo’s NPP governance is full of lies and deceits that have failed to offer development to Asanteman.
He said, there is not even a single project the NPP government can point out in the Ashanti region because “every proper project in Ashanti was done by John Mahama but when you are telling the truth then they tag you as an NDC.”
He declared that “Akufo-Addo is not treating Asanteman fairly” so it is about time the people of Ashanti begun to tackle the Akufo- Addo for their share of the national cake.
The UFP leader further stated that the Akufo-Addo government is poorly performing but whenever a concern is being raised then they (NPP) offset you with pandemic Covid-19.
“Nana Addo and NPP have s always blamed their poor performance on Covid-19, meanwhile some African Presidents like Watara of Cotedivoir inherited a country of war, his country was hit by covid-19 yet he has transformed the country. Liberia President, Oppong Weah, who was even a footballer, has been able to transform Liberia, so I want to ask, did Akufo Addo inherit a country of war?” Gyataba quizzed.
