Sound engineer, Buddy RoRo has strongly criticized Piesie Esther for issuing an apology to Joyce Blessing amidst the ongoing controversy surrounding their respective song releases.
Joyce Blessings released a beautiful piece of track titled ‘Victory’ on 14th September this year. In about 2 weeks, September 28, 2023, Piesie Esther also dropped ‘Mo’ which is getting much attention on social media as well as mainstream media.
These two gospel songs are getting much attention in Ghana and globally but a lot of netizens and for that matter Ghanaians have opined that Piesie should’ve delayed the release of her song for Joyce to enjoy monopoly in the gospel music space because they believe ‘Mo’ is giving Victory a tougher competition.
Piesie in one of her interviews said she was sorry it happened that way.
But RoRo believes she shouldn’t have apologised at all.
“As for me I don’t understand those who are criticizing Piesie Esther for releasing ‘Mo’ but first of all, I’ll put the blame on Piesie Esther.
“I watched her interview when she was apologizing which was very wrong because the moment you apologize then it seems what people are saying is true”. RoRo said.
Sharing his opinion in an interview on Property FM in Cape Coast, Buddy RoRo said the digital space is big enough to contain every good song.
“But there’s no law anywhere which states that when someone releases a song you can’t also release yours because the space is big.
He added; “We are in the digital era so here in Ghana anybody at all can release a song that when that song is good it will make a lot of waves”.
