Gospel singer turned Pastor, Reverend Isaac Forson, has been accused by his biological daughter, Abigail Forson, of being the main suspect in the murder of her late mother, Evelyn Pokua.
According to Abigail, Pastor Isaac Forson, who is now the founder and leader of True Faith Miracle Worship Centre in Amapayo, Kumasi, poisoned his own wife because of his second wife, Akose.
Abigail Forson and her Uncle made these allegations on the Oyerepa Afutuo Show, hosted by Auntie Naa, on Friday, October 6, 2023.
Describing how the prime suspect killed his wife, Abigail Forson said, “My father, Pastor Isaac Forson, who was once a popular gospel singer known for his hit song ‘Ode Ne Nsa Aka Nyame Ba,’ deliberately poisoned my mother.”
She narrated further that;
“My father poisoned my mom (Evelyn Pokuaa) to death on Friday.”
My father (Isaac Forson) don’t usually stay with my mom in her shop but the day (Thursday) before her death on Friday, my father was with her throughout the day.
I asked my father why he was with my mom and he answered, his conscience tells him something is about happening that’s why he’s keeping her company.
So Around 10 PM, Dad was still with mom in the shop holding bottled water (Voltic)… I went to bed. Subsequently, in less than 45 minutes, dad called me via mobile phone and claimed mom was vomiting… So I went to their bedroom and I saw foamy substance coming out from mom’s mouth. She had deficated and vomitted in the bedroom….. She was dying so we dressed her up to take her to hospital. I screamed, [Mama!!] and she pointed her finger on dad who was standing very close to her in soft voice and said, [your father has killed me].”
Abigail disclosed on the show that, her dad and late mom were in loggerheads as a result of his second wife (Sister Akose) who was a church member.
However, the day before her [Evelyn Pokuaa’s] demise, her husband came very close to her.Again the fact that her mom mentioned Pastor Isaac Forson’s name as her killer, she [Abigail Forson] believes very well that indeed her father killed her mom.
The Uncle of Abigail who also appeared on the show said, every effort to get justice for his late sister in in vain. He said, Pastor Forson should’ve been imprisoned by now, but he’s living his life.
According to him, Pastor Forson has said, he has money and therefore, he will continue to push the police with cash to drop all charges made against him. For this reason he’s calling on IGP Dampare to intervene.
In the meantime, an autopsy (report) carried by Dr Sampene indicates that, the deceased [Evelyn Pokuaa] died from poisonous substance.
Meanwhile, the body of the deceased for eight months now has been in the morgue.
