Former Member of Parliament (MP) for Manhyia North constituency, Collins Owusu Amankwah has described the Daily Dispatch Newspaper as a propaganda campaign Newspaper for Dr Bawumia.
This comes after the Managing Director of the Daily Dispatch newspaper, Ben Ephson, made some wild predictions on NPP’s Flagsbearership race which he predicted Alan Kyeremanteng not favourite enough to win the position.
According to the former MP who is also the Ashanti Regional Campaign Manager for Alan, the Daily Dispatch Newspaper is now known for making propaganda headlines for Bawumia on the front pages of the Newspaper.
In an interview with Sometymer Otuo Acheampong on Oyerepa Breakfast Show, Owusu Amankwaah said, almost everything good that comes on social media about Bawumia becomes a banner headline on the front pages of the Daily Dispatch and any propaganda about Alan, the next morning it becomes a banner headline just to run him down.
“Any propaganda on social media about Alan, the next day it’s a banner headline on Daily Dispatch.”
He further said the office of the Vice President in recent days generates stories for the Daily Dispatch Newspaper because the pollster has created a space for Bawumia, adding that the paper is no more Daily Dispatch but Daily Alhaji Bawumia’s Paper.
I could see that, the office of the Vice President now generates stories for his ( Ben Ephson’s) newspaper. He has given space to Bawumia, so his paper is no more Daily Dispatch but Daily Alhaji Bawumia’s Paper.
The former legislator revealed further that, Ben Ephson, presently is weak and not credible because there have been several occasions where predictions he made never came through.
“Ben Ephson is now weak, his predictions are way off target so when he speaks about Alan, I don’t respond again,” Collins stated.
Citing an instance he mentioned the predictions Ben made over NPP national executives elections where he predicted that John Boadu was going to win massively against Justin Kodua who were both contesting for the party’s general Secretary’s position.
“What happened when he told us John Boadu was going to win the general Secretary’s position which in the end Justin Kodua won?” he quizzed.
