Dr. Gideon Boako has expressed the flagbearer hopeful remains the preferred choice of delegates of the New Patriotic Party(NPP) in the Ashanti Region considered as the party’s ‘World Bank’.
Dr. Gideon Boako reveals that this has been manifested over time following the support extended to the Vice President whose brand is organic.
According to him more than 40 constituency Chairmen in the Ashanti Region have thrown their support for Bawumia ahead of the primaries slated for November 4, 2023.
Apart from the 40 Constituency Chairmen, Dr Gideon Boako also says 40 Members of Parliament(MP) in the Ashanti Region support the Vice President’s dream of leading the party ahead of the 2024 polls.
This, according to him makes the Vice President gunner massive support in the Ashanti Region contrary to the propaganda from his opponents that he is not acceptable in the area.
“As we speak, Dr Bawumia has his greatest strength in the Ashanti Region. This is because it is only in the Ashanti Region where you can get over 40 constituency Chairmen throwing their support for Bawumia openly. It is only in the Ashanti Region you can get at least 40 Members of Parliament supporting Bawumia. There is no other region in Ghana with such support for Bawumia”. Dr Gideon Boako stated in a recent interview on Angel FM in Kumasi.
He added that, the real Asantes have apparently confessed that they support Dr Bawumia.
“When you critically analyze it, among the Chairman, MPs, constituency and polling station executives it is the Asantes among them who have demonstrated that they really support him”, he told Kwame Tanko on the show “Angel in the Morning”.
He disclosed that the only candidate among the 10 presidential aspirants who can beat the NDC’s John Dramani Mahama is Vice President Bawumia.
