Kennedy Agyapong, the Member of Parliament for Assin Central and a potential flagbearer for the New Patriotic Party (NPP) has recently chosen to remain silent on various issues. He explains that this decision is driven by his desire to be seen as a presidential candidate.
Agyapong acknowledges that his outspoken nature on matters of national importance and within his party has made him a target for his opponents. However, he firmly asserts that their attempts to use his past against him will ultimately prove futile.
The unconventional politician firmly believes that his aspiration to lead the NPP is a divine calling, and he is confident that nothing can alter this reality. He vows to silence his critics and prove his worth in due course.
“Anytime you will see or hear Kennedy Agyapong shouting on Television and radio, then is either I’m fighting for my party NPP or the voiceless Ghanaians in the society”, he stressed.
“Those saying I like talking and because of that I’m not presidential material to lead NPP, I have decided not to talk again because I’m now presidential material. I have all that it takes to lead NPP as flagbearer and I qualify to be the president of Ghana. They can fight against me but it will never change the will of God”, he disclosed while speaking to delegates in the Western North Region.
