Abdellah Suleman Abdullai who serves as the Communications Officer for Afigya Sekyere East and a member of the Regional Communications Team of the NDC has expressed his deep concerns that he will be very disappointed if Kennedy Agyapong successfully passes the vetting process as a Presidential aspirant.
The NPP has initiated the vetting process for all party aspirants, and Kennedy Agyapong is expected to appear before the vetting committee chaired by Prof Aaron Mike Oquaye.
But the NDC communications team member has raised numerous concerns regarding Kennedy Agyapong’s candidacy as a Flagbearer Hopeful for the NPP.
During an interview on Oyerepa Breakfast show on Tuesday hosted by Sometymer Otuo Acheampong, Abdullai expressed grave concerns about the NPP’s decision to allow Kennedy Agyapong to contest for the party’s flagbearership position.
He pointed out that Kennedy Agyapong has consistently insulted individuals across the country, including his own party’s leadership, from President Akufo-Addo to the common citizen.
Abdullai firmly believes that someone with such a track record should never be allowed to compete for a flagbearership position within the NPP, let alone become a Presidential aspirant.
“I will be very disappointed in the leadership and the vetting committee of the NPP if they approve Kennedy to be part of these Presidential aspirants” he stated.
“I’ve began to think that the NPP is only but a bunch of cowards if they should Kennedy Agyapong to go through this vetting ” he added.
He emphasized that the National Democratic Congress (NDC) is eagerly anticipating the election of Dr Bawumia as the Presidential candidate on the ticket of the NPP, because it would significantly alleviate the NDC’s campaign workload.
