Nana Kofi Agyemang, a popular Kumawood actor known by his screen name Oboy Siki, has made it obvious that any of the prominent political parties in Ghana pursuing his endorsement for their campaign must be prepared to pay him in dollars.
He believes that since all political actors use the US dollar in their dealings, he will never accept payment in Ghana Cedis.
Speaking on Kumasi-based Hello FM on the show “Hello Entertainment Review” the vet Oboy Siki emphasised that “as I sit here if you want me to campaign for your party then you need to come so that we talk about charging in dollars. I won’t come to you”.
He implied that charging in dollars will help him develop a thick skin against insults from the public
According to him, he is joining politics because most of his peers in the movie industry have moved into politics after the near collapse of the industry.
“I have understood that, if the film industry is collapsed, you need to enter into politics and I really do understand politics”, he told Dave Hammer.
