Former Deputy General Secretary of the National Democratic Congress (NDC), Samuel Koku Anyidoho, has made a statement regarding, Gyachie Quayeson’s eligibility to contest in the upcoming Assin North bye-election.
According to him, Gyachie Quayeson should be prepared to face the law if he decides to run for office.
These revelations come in light of recent controversies surrounding Quayeson’s validity as the MP for Assin North, which the Supreme Court has forbidden him from holding himself as such.
In an interview with Nana Yaw Mensah Joel on the Oyerepa Breakfast show, Anyidoho emphasized the importance of upholding the truth, regardless of political affiliations.
He said Quayeson was disqualified from contesting in the NDC 2012 and 2016 primaries due to dual citizenship issues.
As per, Anyidoho, the law is greater than any political party, personality, or other factors in the country.
Anyidoho also mentioned the case of Adamu Sakande, the former MP for Bawku Central, who faced the full rigours of the law for similar issues.
Anyidoho’s message is clear: if Quayeson decides to contest in the upcoming bye-election, he must be prepared to face the consequences of his actions.
Anyidoho’s statement is a reminder that the law must be upheld and that political affiliations should not interfere with justice. His message is professional, clear, and easy to understand, making it an effective call to action for all citizens to prioritize the truth and the law above all.
