Hanny Sherry Ayittey who is seeking to be retained as the National Democratic Congress (NDC) Vice Chairperson has said that age in no way affects the quality of work of politicians.
This is in response to her opponent’s critics that she may not be able to discharge her duties as expected of her.
In an interview with Kwesi Parker Wilson on Oyerepa Breakfast Time, she described such criticisms as ridiculous, weak and propagators of such news probably have nothing to offer the party if her age is what they base on to campaign against her.
“If you have nothing to say, shut your mouth”, she fumed.
Sherry Ayittey said she has experience in politics with strong background history and achieved a lot in her political career and is therefore fit to run the affairs of the party.
She stated emphatically that some of her opponents are not in good shape with regard to their health yet are vying for positions in the party.
The NDC vice chairperson aspirants assured members of the party that her age would in no way affect the quality of her service delivery to the party.
She is also hopeful of winning the elections on Saturday, 17th December 2022.
