The 2020 parliamentary aspirant for Asokwa on the ticket of the National Democratic Congress (NDC), Amon Kamel has threatened to collapse the New Patriotic Party’s (NPP) Zongo group called Nasara.
Nasara is the Zongo Wing of the NPP with a primary role of mobilizing members for the party within the Zongo Communities of the country
However, Amon Kamel who is contesting for the Deputy Ashanti Regional Communication Officer of the NDC says, he will break down the NPP’s Nasara group should he win in the impending NDC election.
“I’ll collapse the NPP Nasara group if I become Deputy NDC Communications Officer. Because those areas were our areas, we were sweeping all the votes in the Zongo communities but because the party mishandled things NPP got the opportunity to win some votes over there. But this time if I win, we’ll merge the Zongo caucus with NDC communications to work hard and claim all the needed votes, I believe if we get the votes, 2024 victory is assured.” He stated on Oyerepa Breakfast Time, Wednesday.
