The National Organizer of the ruling New Patriotic Party (NPP) Henry Nana Boakye popularly known as Nana B has stated that the Ashanti Region has so far had a vast share of the government’s agenda 111 project.
Some residents and journalists in the Ashanti Region have overly criticized the NPP government over the lack of developmental infrastructure. The people of Ashanti believe that they played a major role in the NPP’s victory in 2016 and therefore must be given considerable development.
Speaking on Oyerepa Breakfast Time, Monday, Nana B stated that, the Ashanti Region has benefited immensely from the Agenda 111 projects. He disclosed that the region has had 16 of the said Agenda 111 projects.
”The Ashanti Region has gotten 16 of its share of Agenda 111”
He disclosed that the NPP government will not abandon any project in the region and will continue to offer more to the people of Ashanti.
Agenda 111 Project
President Akufo-Addo on Tuesday, August 17, launched the Agenda 111 project.
The project he said will cover the design, procurement, construction, equipping and commissioning of 111 District Hospitals, 6 Regional Hospitals in newly created regions, as well as 1 Regional Hospital in the Western Region, 2 Psychiatric Hospitals in Kumasi and Tamale and a redeveloped Accra Psychiatric Hospital.
The objective of the project is to ensure that Ghanaians nationwide have access to quality healthcare services and with the National Health Insurance Scheme, boost the provision of healthcare infrastructure and financial accessibility to healthcare.
