Former Afigya Kwabre South Constituency chairman of the New Patriotic Party (NPP) Odeneho Kwaku Appiah affectionately called COKA, has called on party supporters to commit themselves to propagating the achievements of the government.
The NPP is poised to break the eight-year rule jinx in 2024, but COKA believes that the only way the party can retain power is to disseminate information about how far the Akufo-Addo government has come since taking power in 2017.
According to him every information about the various projects the Akufo-Addo/Bawumia led government has done should be propagated to the appreciation of the electorate.
“It is possible for us to break the eight, because the Akufo-Addo government has done so much for the development of Ghana; what is lacking is the information to flow down to the people. Let’s bring all hands on the deck to champion the cause of the party in order to make history in 2024 by winning the elections convincingly.” Coka maee the assertion when addressing over two thousand supporters of the party who trooped in for the Break the Eight Health Walk at Kodie in the Afigya Kwabre South District of the Ashanti Region on last Saturday.
He also urged the rank and file of the party to bury their differences and work towards the common cause of defeating the opposition National Democratic Congress (NDC), who in his estimation, have been the nemesis of Ghana’s development.
“The NPP is the only party that can transform Ghana; we are all witnesses to the mess which was created by the John Mahama administration before 2017; even without COVID-19 and the Russia-Ukraine war, they still could not manage the helms of affairs of the country”, he added.
Since he lost his bid for the Ashanti regional chairmanship position in June, Chairman Odeneho Kwaku Appiah has relentless reenergised the base of the party through several social engagements aimed at fostering unity among the party folk in the Ashanti region.
