Mr. Akwasi Konadu, Parliamentary Candidate-elect for Manhyia North constituency has pledged and held as his position that every decision which will be taken within the constituency will be based on the will of the people.

According to the elected Candidate of the Eighth Parliament of the Fourth Republic, he has the commitment to work assiduously to create the enabling environment for future generations.

Speaking with Oyerepa FM on Thursday, July 2, 2020, with Nana Kojo Jantuah, the Manhyia North Parliament Candidate-elect advised that everyone be on the alert every time by adhering to the social protocols and directives put in place by the government, in consultation with Health authorities.

“The disease is very real, so then everyone should do well observe the various directives… we should be doing the continuous education for ourselves… if what you do puts someone’s life at risk, then the measures must be intensified, ” the Manhyia North Parliamentary Candidate-elect further advised.

He called for the enforcement of the laws on non-adherence to COVID-19 directives to the later.

Mr. Akwasi Konadu was of the view that the ten (10) years sentence for those who flout the COVID-19 directives should be maintained.

He talked about this being the third time he has contested which is a clear sign of his commitment, and that his message to delegates was based on this commitment and preparedness to be accountable.

He added that his campaign message also centred on the need for exceptional unity and how to develop Manhyia North.

“We must believe in people, what they say and give them the chance to come out with what they do have in them, ” he counselled those who are skeptical.

On his exceptional qualities, Mr. Konadu opined, “It is not power that changes a person, Power rather becomes an arsenal to cause harm to someone. It is not for our well-being that people contested… It is to serve and run errands.”

He said, “Any decision that is to be taken will be based on the people’s will.’

“I expect to work assiduously to develop the constituency to create enabling environment for future generations, ” Mr. Akwasi Konadu told Oyerepa FM.
