Deputy Lands and Natural Resource Minister, Mr. Benito Owusu Bio has entreated Ghanaians, especially people living in rural areas, to revive our communal spirit and pull our resources together to develop our respective communities.
In his opinion, it is time we revisit the era where people used their own resources and communal labour to provide development projects in their community of origin to complement government’s efforts at developing the country.
This, Hon. Benito Owusu Bio said, will help bring about rapid development in every corner of the nation.
He made the appeal when he inspected work on an ultra-modern 16-bed capacity hospital being built by natives of Fufuo living abroad (Fufuoman Nkabom Kuo) at Fufuo near Barekese in the Atwima Nwabiagya North constituency of Ashanti.
He was full of praise for the members of Fufuo Nkabom Kuo for their initiative and urged citizens of other communities in the Atwima traditional area to learn from them.
Speaking to Oyerepa News’ Emmanuel Oduro, the President of Fufuo Nkabom Kuo, Nana Yaw Danquah said, when completed, the hospital will help improve upon the quality of health care being given to the people of Fufuo and its environs.
He appealed to citizens of Fufuo living outside the town who have not yet contributed to the construction of the hospital to come onboard and contribute financially towards the completion of the facility which is now at the Lentil stage
The multi-million cedi hospital, upon completion, will have a Theatre, Maternity ward, delivery ward, Outpatient Department, three Consulting rooms among others.
