Renowned journalist Somtymer Otuo Acheampong has expressed his belief that Alan Kyerematen, the leader of Movement for Change, will have little to no impact on the upcoming 2024 elections.
During an appearance on Oyerepa Breakfast Time (OBT) on Monday, February 11th, 2024, IOtuo Acheampong confidently stated that Alan Kyerematen, a former member of the New Patriotic Party (NPP), stands no chance of winning the impending elections.
Acheampong further elaborated on his viewpoint, emphasizing that Ghanaians are primarily presented with two viable options: the NDC and NPP. Consequently, he dismissed the remaining political parties, including Kyerematen’s Movement for Change, as mere pretenders who will fail to make any significant impact in the 2024 general elections.
“Ghanaians are presented with largely two options. (NDC/NPP), I’m not talking about the pretenders…”
Somtymer declared that although Alan Kyerematen may play some sort of substantial role in the impending elections, he may not win. His followers are very aware that, his (Alan) aim is not to win an election.
“Alan is a pretender. In his own conviction and the people who follow Alan, I don’t think their interest is to win an election. They may play a very important role but not winning the 2024 elections .” The popular journalist cum General Manager of Promise Broadcasting Limited told Kwesi Parker Wilson, host of OBT.
