The General Secretary of the National Democratic Congress (NDC), Fiifi Fiavi Kwetey has its readiness ahead of the 2024 General elections.
According to him, the NDC is ever ready to protect their votes in the impending general elections.
Speaking at a press briefing held at the Party’s Headquarters in Accra, Mr Kwetey pointed out that the lackadaisical approach by the Electoral Commission (EC) at the ongoing voter registration exercise indicates that, the body in charge of the elections wants to give an advantage to NPP before the General election.
Again, President Akufo-Addo’s statement of not handing over power to a candidate he has once defeated before clearly shows that NPP is not ready to hand over power even if they lose to NDC.
He added that NDC will not stand by while the process of free, fair and transparent elections will be jeopardised by the electoral commission and its allays.
He pointed out that the NDC as a party wants to lead and restore public trust in public institutions in the country which NPP will have no choice, but rather will leave Flagstaff House and hand over power smoothly to John Dramani Mahama and the NDC.
