The National Democratic Congress (NDC) has announced that it will not sign any peace pact until its demands are met.
The opposition NDC, in a meeting with the peace council, outlined specific conditions that it insists must be met before it considers signing the peace pact.
The party’s National Chairman, Asiedu Nketia, expressed doubts about the effectiveness of previous peace pacts, arguing that they have not yielded the desired results.
Dr. Peter Otukornor, Director in charge of Inter-Parties and Civil Society Organizations (CSO) Relations, in an interview with Kwesi Parker Wilson on Oyerepa TV, declared that the NDC will not be rushed into signing any peace pact without our demands being met.
“We have made our concerns clear, and we expect the ruling party to address them before we can consider signing any agreement.”
