The Paramount Chief of the Buipe Traditional Area in the Savannah Region, Buipewura Abdulai Jinapor II, has lauded the Asantehene, Otumfuo Osei Tutu II, for his instrumental role in his victory in the National House of Chiefs elections.
Buipewura Jinapor II, who contested and won the position of Vice President in the House of Chiefs, acknowledged that his success would not have been possible without the support and blessings of the Asantehene.
During a visit to the Asantehene at Manhyia Palace on February 26, 2025, he expressed deep gratitude, describing Otumfuo Osei Tutu II as his “God on earth.”
“Your life is important to me. May God grant you long life to continue holding Ghana together. I am here to express my appreciation and say thank you. You are my God on this earth,” he said.
He credited his victory—securing 54 votes out of 73—to the Asantehene’s influence and unwavering support.
Buipewura Jinapor II further appealed to the Asantehene for continued guidance in his new role, emphasizing that he would rely on Otumfuo Osei Tutu II’s wisdom whenever needed.
“There is a lot ahead of me, and I pray that you will share your God-given wisdom with me whenever I seek your counsel, day or night,” he said.
He also revealed that the Asantehene had previously intervened to protect his chieftaincy, stating, “This is not the only support you have given me. Many may not know, but I was once removed from my stool, and it was Nana who stood firm and ensured that didn’t happen.”
Buipewura Jinapor II’s visit to Manhyia Palace was a testament to the deep respect and gratitude he holds for the Asantehene’s continued support and leadership.
