A young lady, Esther Frimpomaa from Berekum in the Bono Region who gave her boyfriend all her 2 years salaries is demanding her money in bulk.
The lady claims her boyfriend Joshua is getting married to another woman on Saturday, September 3, 2022 therefore she will not sit aloof for her money to be used to wed another woman.
She made the disclosure on Oyerepa Afutuo, Wednesday 31st August 2022 hosted by Maame Frimpomaa Korankye (MFK).
According to Esther, she travelled abroad (Jordan) some years back. Before the journey, she was living together with Joshua as a ‘boyfriend and girlfriend’ so she decided to send her monthly salary to him to save for her.
She spent 2 years working in Jordan and all this while she forwarded all her salaries totalling GHC21,600 to Joshua to save in a bank.
Esther explained on the show that, when she returned home she requested for her money but the boyfriend stated that, he has used it for Treasury bills, and therefore would pay her after it matured.
“I travelled to Jordan to work. I use to send my salaries to my boyfriend Joshua to keep for me. When I returned home I asked him to give back my money but Joshua told me he has bought a treasury bill.” She narrated.
Esther disclosed further that, she requested the money, Joshua threatened to kill her if she demands for the money again.
Nevertheless, she informed the man’s father at Sefwi Debiso but nothing was done about it.
“I informed Joshua’s father at Sefwi Debiso where he (Joshua) accepted to pay me.
He didn’t pay as he pledged so later I asked him about the money but he threatened to kill me….”
Yet we were living together but my mother advised me to pack my things from his room because he hasn’t engaged me.” Esther revealed.
Joshua who also appeared on the show admitted that she owes her ex-girlfriend.
He disclosed that part of the money has been settled so he is looking forward to paying the remainder on monthly basis.
The young lady, however, indicated that Joshua is getting married to another woman therefore her money should be paid in bulk.
“Joshua is getting married on Saturday so I need all my money. He owes me GHc16000.”
