Deputy Director for Technical and Vocational Education and Training (TVET) Service, Mr David Prah has disclosed that students of Krobea Asante Technical and Vocational School at Asokore in the Ashanti Region will never be allowed to cheat in examinations if that is the only way they will pass their final examination.
This is a result of a protest by a section of some students at Krobea Asante Technical and Vocational School who believe that authorities have been the architects behind their worse performance in their final examination in the school.
The Ghana TVET Service after the happening of this unfortunate incident issued a directive in a statement signed by the Director-General, Mawusi Nudekor Awity to close down the school upon the advice of the Sekyere East District Security Council and the Ashanti Regional Security Council.
Reacting to this issue in an exclusive interview with Nana Yaw Mensah Joel on Oyerepa Breakfast Show, the Deputy Director for TVET disclosed that they are on firm grounds and have launched some investigations into the happenings in the school.
“It is never allowed in any institution to cheat during examination in this country no matter the circumstances,” he said.
He added that students have been directed by authorities of Ghana TVET Service to as a matter of urgency vacate the school premises as they begin investigations.
He disclosed that about 40 students who are believed to be part of this rampage protesting the poor results of their predecessors in their final examination have been arrested and are currently in police custody assisting investigations.
