The Director of Youth Employment Agency (YEA) for the Bibiani Anhwiaso Bekwai Municipality, Mr. Adam Smith, has called on the youth in the area to take full advantage of the National Apprenticeship Program.
The initiative, launched under the YEA, aims to reduce youth unemployment by equipping young people with practical, in-demand skills. Participants will receive hands-on training in various trades, monthly stipends, and starter kits upon completion to help them launch their businesses or secure employment.
Mr. Smith emphasised that the program offers a unique opportunity for young people to build a better future for themselves.
“We urge the youth to seize this opportunity and enrol in the National Apprenticeship Program. It is designed to equip them with valuable skills, provide financial support through stipends, and prepare them for sustainable employment or entrepreneurship,” he stated.
He encouraged the young people of Bibiani to be proactive, take responsibility for their future, and make the most of the resources being provided through the initiative.
The YEA continues to roll out similar programs nationwide in its mission to empower Ghanaian youth and reduce unemployment across the country.
