Ghanaian media personality Efia Odo has decried the trend of women proposing love and marriage to men.
“Stop proposing. What is that? What’s is wrong with y’all [you all] proposing to men?” she said on the 3Xtra programme on Accra-based TV3.
She called women proposing to men: “so embarrassing,” quizzing: “Why would you do that? Why would you go on your knees and propose to a man? For what?”
The media personality and social media influencer wondered about the meaning of such an act.
“That means you’re going to pay for the wedding?” she asked.
“It’s all foolishness to me,” she added in Twi.
According to the Brooklyn-raised Ghanaian socialite, she is currently in a contenting two-week-old relationship. She said that she did not go looking for love but love found her.
“Don’t look for love. Let love find you because I was in that space where I wasn’t looking for love. I was done with men.
“But then love found me. So don’t go looking for love. Let love naturally find you,” she stressed, arguing that: “Sometimes because you are looking and want it so bad, you have to settle for anything that comes.”
On January 1, 2023, Efia Odo surprised her fans by releasing a Hiphop song titled ‘Getting To the Bag’. She followed up with a freestyle titled ‘Roll Over’ 30 days later.
