The Women of Today Foundation has extended a helping hand to St. Edward Catholic Hospital and Adugyama Senior High School in the Ahafo Ano South East District with items worth over GH 50,000.
The donation, which forms part of the foundation’s social responsibility, was to help equip the hospital to discharge its duties effectively.
The Foundation first visited the St. Edward Catholic Hospital, which happens to be the only health facility in the Ahafo Ano South East, and donated some items to them, which include hospital beds and other medical equipment, as well as helping to bring back their dysfunctional ambulance, which has not been operating for almost a year now, with four branded new tires to aid the hospital in its operations.
Among the donated items were bags of rice, sanitary pads, markers, and a host of other items to also support Adugyama Senior High School in commemorating International Women’s Day.
The CEO of the foundation, Mrs. Berlinda Appiah, speaking to the students, encouraged them, particularly the ladies, to be bold, take up leadership roles, and desist from all forms of social vices like dating and unnecessary relationships that could derail their future.
The Chief of Adugyama, Nana Boakye Yiadom Kotoko, and Queen Mother Nana Yaa Dufue Pomaa III, who were there at the ceremony, also expressed their appreciation to the foundation for their generosity towards the development of Adugyama by supporting their only health and Adugyama Senior High School.
However, executive member of the foundation, Hon. Obeng Boateng (former NPP Parliamentary Candidate Ahafo Ano South East Constituency), also urged the students to be serious with their education, as he is committed to supporting and ensuring they also get what they deserve.
