A cocoa buying company, Agroecom Company Limited has handed over a three – unit classroom block to Ntensere Junior High School in the Bia East District in the Western North Region.
The new block solely funded by AGROECOM COMPANY LIMITED was handed over to the Ghana Education Service (GES) through the District Chief Executive of the Assembly on Tuesday June 7, 2022 as part of the company’s corporate social responsibility it owes society.
The District Manager of the company Harry Owusu Ampofo at the handing over ceremony thanked the Ghana Education Service and the people of Ntensere for their massive support and patient offered towards the project.
He further expressed his gratitude to the Bia East District Assembly for their maximum cooperation, and pledged the company’s readiness to work hand in hand with the district.
The District Chief Executive Nicholas Yayin K. Niber also took the opportunity to express his happiness to the company for taken such initiative to relieve the district from one of the most pressing challenge on his table.
He further appealed to management of Agroecom to add a scholarship package for at least best 5 performing students from this new block (Ntensere JHS) up to the university level.
The DCE urged parents and guidance to monitor their wards to take their studies serious for their honour and that of the donors of the project.
Nicholas Yayin added that teachers will do their best part but parents and guidance owe the responsibilities to be part of their wards’ development and that is the only way the future leaders can pass their exams well.
He then urged the school’s Headteacher and his staff, SMC, PTA as well as the pupils to take good care of the facility by ensuring periodic maintenance culture to sustain the project to last longer.
The DCE thanked the Agroecom Cocoa buying company for their service to humanity and appealed to them to extend their gesture to the other sectors in the district at large.
