Concerned youth of Wiamoase in Afigya Sekyere South District in the Ashanti region have performed rites to distool their chief, Nana Boakye Yiadom.
It could be recalled that in 2021, the youth of Wiamoase embarked on a demonstration to present their grievances to Nana Boakye Yiadom. But according to them, none of their issues has been addressed.
On Friday, April 28 2023, the youth slaughtered a sheep and poured libations to distool Nana Boakye Yiadom.
Addressing a press conference, the youth accused Nana Yiadom of using his powers to seize indigents properties.
“Nana Boakye is a big liar. He has sold over a thousand plots of land to his benefit. He has sold 2/3 of the Wiamoase cemetery and still takes a huge amount of money before an indigent is buried.”
” We, from the aforementioned misrule, ill-treatment, tyranny, commission, and omission by the Chief, vehemently, without any fear of contradiction or favor, declare that we cannot continue to live and consider Nana Boakye Yiadom as Chief of Wiamoase any longer.” They declared.
The youth further warned Nana Boakye Yiadom not to carry himself as Chief and declared him wanted.
