Finance Minister Dr. Cassiel Ato Forson says the government has successfully restored economic stability, clarity, and confidence in less than 200 days since assuming office.
Presenting the 2025 Mid-Year Budget Review to Parliament on Thursday, July 24, Dr. Forson highlighted the impact of swift and deliberate policy actions taken by the administration, which he said are already yielding tangible results.
“In less than 200 days, we have brought back clarity, certainty, stability, and purpose to our economic policy,” he told lawmakers.
He noted that the progress made is not abstract or limited to economic indicators, but is being felt across the country by citizens and the business community.
“The recovery is not just theoretical. It is obvious, evident, noticeable, and tangible — and Ghanaians and investors are experiencing it,” Dr. Forson added.
The Minister’s remarks underscore the government’s optimism about the direction of the economy, following what it described as a challenging period marked by high inflation, exchange rate volatility, and fiscal strain.
