Ghanaian parents have received a compelling call to secure a brighter future for their children through the gift of quality education. This powerful message was delivered by Nana Denkyene Obroni Amaado II, the esteemed Queen Mother for Nsuta Geduako in the Western North Region, during the momentous occasion of the Saint Mary’s Preparatory School Graduation and Coronation in Bibiani.
In her impassioned address to the parents, Nana Denkyene emphasized the importance of redirecting financial resources away from extravagant funeral attire and towards the invaluable investment in their children’s education.
She firmly asserted that education serves as a transformative tool and a vital passport for every child’s journey towards success, be it in formal or informal settings. With unwavering conviction, she implored every parent to recognize the urgent need to prioritize their children’s educational development.
“Our children are the future generation, and we cannot afford to fail them. We must invest in them,” she said.
“We can say that the session was faced with some challenges, but we are glad that we were able to overcome them. Let us continue to do our best to ensure that the future of our children is guaranteed,” Nana Denkyene said.
“I call on you to continue to make investments in the future of your children. Education is that future. No investment in that regard will be regretted. It may be difficult today, but it pays heavily in the end,” she said.
Speaking on the performance of the School, the headmaster Mr. Isaac Ayim Junior said: “Every year, we have at least 80 per cent of our students who have five or more credits in their results, some of whom also immediately gain admission into universities after Senior High School the same year they graduate.
He entreats other parents to enrol their wards in their school and they will never regret it.”
