The Central Regional Zongo Chief has committed to mobilizing the Zongo Communities in the region to actively support the National Democratic Congress (NDC) in the upcoming general elections on December 7, 2024.
Alhaji Mahamud Danday Massawodje IV stated that the Zongo Communities in the Central Region are determined to show their gratitude to NDC running mate Prof. Jane Naana Opoku-Agyemang, who is from the region, for her efforts in supporting the communities.
He conveyed their appreciation to Professor Jane Naana Opoku-Agyemang for consistently advocating for the well-being of Zongo Communities and Muslims in the country. He assured that they remain loyal to the NDC party during the upcoming elections.
These sentiments were shared during a donation event where the NDC running mate, Professor Jane Naana Opoku-Agyemang, provided various food items such as bags of gari, rice, cartons of milk, sugar, fruits, bottled water, biscuits, and oil to the community at the Central Mosque to support their Ramadan fast.
Professor Jane Naana Opoku-Agyemang urged the Muslim Communities in the Central Region and all Ghanaians to keep her and the NDC party in their thoughts and prayers. She stressed the significance of maintaining peace before, during, and after the elections.
Furthermore, Professor Jane Naana Opoku-Agyemang pledged to prioritize the needs of Zongo Communities if the NDC secures victory and she assumes the role of vice president.
Following her visit to the Central Mosque, she extended her gratitude to the market women at the Kotokoraba Market in Cape Coast for their unwavering support.
