A married woman, known only as Rose has admitted that, whilst in her new marriage she was called to widow her ex-husband in Togo.
According to Rose, her family called her to serve as a widow or perform the widowhood rites else the dead ex-husband’s spirit might torment her.
The woman appeared on Oyerepa Afutuo last Friday and cried out that her husband is divorcing her so the big show should help her to earn some compensation.
Coming through the show yesterday, the woman’s husband, Prophet Effoh Habakkuk explained that, the wife informed him of going to Togo to widow her ex-husband but he said ‘No’ because he didn’t understand why his wife must widow a man she had divorced 3 years before his death.
He told his wife nowhere in the world are those rites performed but Rose despised him for the widowhood rites.
For this reason, despite being blessed with 5 kids among 2 others the woman brought into the marriage, he (Prophet Habakkuk ) can no longer marry her.
He is ready to rent a room for the wife as well as compensate her with some amount of money to start a business.
He will take full responsibility for his kids and will give them daily feeding fees.
