An NDC Member of Parliament for Ahafo Ano North Constituency, Akwasi Adusei, has debunked allegations that the camp of Brogya Genfi paid money to delegates to vote for the candidate as the next NDC youth organizer in the just-ended elections.
Speaking to Kwesi Parker Wilson on Oyerepa Breakfast Time, he said “it was impossible to buy votes from delegates, and monies given out to them were only for their upkeep and did not influence their voting choice.”
He explained that some of the delegates traveled long distances to vote in the elections, and it was only fair that their stay expenses (food, lodging, etc.) be covered.
As a result, he stated that such funds could not be given after the election for the purpose for which they were given. The NDC MP said he witnessed no money being shared with delegates but only hearsay that it was happening.
