The flagbearer of the National Democratic Congress (NDC), John Mahama has urged Ghanaians to vote for him who has experience as a former President over Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia who is the torch bearer of the New Patriotic Party (NPP).
During his campaign tour in the North East region, he recounted how President Akufo-Addo asked Ghanaians to try him in 2016 when he was vying for a position as President.
According to John Mahama, he has the experience and his administration experienced by Ghanaians hence the reason why they should choose him over Dr. Bawumia.
“I have the experience and I have done it before. Ghana has seen my ruling and saw what we did as a party. In this time of crisis, we need someone with experience to come and put Ghana back on its feet. We did ‘trial and error’ when Akufo-Addo said ‘try me’ and we tried him now look at where it has landed us.”
“This time we don’t want to try me, we want someone who has done it before and has experience. If a driver and his mate drive you into the ditch and you remove the car, will you hand over the car back to them again? You will give it to a more experienced driver who has driven the car before”, John Mahama added.
