On many occasions, Ghanaians and for that matter, the youth have despised certain presumable low works which fetch more money than white colour jobs.
Most people who are always seen walking down the streets in tall boots and dirty working gears are mostly disrespected by certain people due to their look but they are the people who arguably have big monies in their bank accounts.
Today, we are taken a look at a man, knwn as Patrict Gyansah a.k.a Kofi Yesu a coconut seller in Adum Kumasi.
Yesu was a footballer at a tender age. In class 3, he dropped out of school since his father did not cater for him.
Kofi Yesu is a divorcé with 4 kids. He sells coconut to cater for his kids as well as finance their school fees.
He has been selling coconut in Adum, one of the principal trading centers within the Kumasi Metropolis of the Ashanti region for more than 15 years.
Disclosing his business to Tofiakwa, host of Oyerepa TV ‘Tie Bi’ show Thursday, Kofi Yesu said, he has been able to buy a plot of land in Kumasi to start building a mansion for his kids.
According to him, although many people disregard the coconut business however it is more lucrative than many white colour jobs we assume to be the best in the country.
Kofi Yesu outlined that he is able to accumulate a profit of GHc80 daily via the sale of coconuts.
As we all know, now a coconut in Ghana is trading between GHc3 and 5GHc in the cities depending on the size so it means Yesu is earning a lot more than what he has said.
The coconut trader however has advised the youth to invest in coconut trading because not only education will make them rich.
“Invest in coconut trading because it isn’t only education that will make you rich.”
