A woman, Joyce who lives at Bekwai in the Ashanti region is battling for her life after her husband, Thomas Preprah butchered her over sex.
Joyce sharing her tragic story with Oyerepa Afutuo on Thursday said it took the intervention of her 13-year-old child to rescue her.
“We were in the room and my husband went out so I slept. Later he came back and asked me to wake up and all of a sudden he started butchering me…When I try to open the door he chopped off my hand”. She said.
“My kids heard me shouting… they broke out the door and my 13-year-old child hit his father’s head with a stick so he fell down and they called the police to rescue me”. She said.
“When my husband (Thomas Preprah) was arrested by the police he said I am cheating on him and I also don’t allow him to have sex with me”. She told Auntie Naa host of the show
According to Joyce, doctors said the husband has inflected her with over a hundred cutlass wounds.
Joyce’s mother who appeared on the show said with support from SDA Church and other individuals they have spent over twenty thousand Ghana Cedis on her daughter but she (Joyce) is unable to work.
She (Joyce’s Mother) lamented her daughter can’t even hold a cup of water to drink.
Joyce’s mother further disclosed that her in-law (Joyce’s husband) has been remanded into police custody for further investigations. The matter is in court.
