A 31-year-old man, Aziz, has been beaten to death at Dunkwa in the Ekumfi District of the Central Region.
The incident according to sources happened in the premises of the Church of Pentecost at Ekumfi-Dunkwa.
The Committee Chairman for Ekumfi Dunkwa, Mr Ekow Baidoo who spoke to Oyerepa News explained that the unknown murderers dumped the deceased at the church’s premises. He was called to the scene so he had the opportunity to speak to the him (deceased) where he pronounced his name as Aziz, a Fulani from Tema.
According the Chairman, the victim died shortly.
Mr Ekow Baidoo said, the deceased may not have been knock-down by a vehicle, but suspects the assailants lynched him because they inflicted cutlass wounds on his head which led to his death.
The Odikro of the Dunkwa community, Nana Kwesi Amoah V said the case was reported to the police to convey the body.
Some residents expressed shock over the incident, adding that the development has caused fear and panic in the Dunkwa community and the Ekumfi District at large.
Meanwhile, the Apam police have conveyed the dead body to Saltpond Morgue for for investigation.
So far no one has been arrested.
