The Chief Executive Officer of Black Avenue Muzik, Desmond Kwesi Blackmore, well known as D Black has expressed his dissatisfaction with how people mostly tag his hard work as a fraud in Ghana despite the sacrifices he has made to gain his wealth.
During an interview on Adom TV‘s weekend show, Ahosepe Xtra with Sister Sandy, D Black said he has never involved himself in any fraudulent activity to sponsor his lavish lifestyle, thus everything he owns is a result of his hard work.
According to him, starting his business from the scratch was not easy on account that he had to owe some people and also make huge investments in order to reap his gains someday. Having worked in various sectors of the entertainment industry for 11 years, D Black said he owes all his success to his craft. D Black revealed that he has piles of bills from his failed businesses, in addition to the luxury some people perceive he has, especially on social media.
From his view, there is no point for him to get involved in dirty dealings when God, his hard labor, and absolute dedication to his job can provide him with all the comforts he desires.
“I do so many investments; aside from my music, I have my label as well as other businesses like the club and events center. So while I’m waiting for the song to pick up, other businesses are running. People close to me are all interested in the business that’s how it works and that is how it has always been,” he said.
He lamented that it sometimes becomes discomforting when people see his genuine hard work in a negative way, making all sorts of claims that his wealth was gained through illegal means.
