An unidentified man has been beaten to death at Takorase Dagomba Line Electoral Area of the Sekyere Afram Plains District in the Ashanti Region.
The incident happened last night, May 10, 2022.
According to Emmanuel Anangana, Assemblymember Takorase Dagomba Line Electoral Area, the deceased was killed by a man and his two wives for attempting to kill them.
Speaking to Oyerepa FM, the Assemblymember narrated that, he was called to the crime scene in the early hours of today. He said the deceased went to the residence of a man and his family and fired a gunshot which he meant to kill them.
“The man who killed lives together with his 2 wives. He heard his dogs barking in the night so he opened his door to find out what was happening. Immediately after he opened the door, the deceased who had put on a mask shot him. Fortunately, he didn’t die so he boldly chased and grabbed him (deceased). He and his 2 wives however retaliated, they flogged him until he died.” The assembly member stated.
He further disclosed that Police who came to the crime scene today retrieved a locally made pistol from the deceased. They also found knives, bullets and mobile phones.
Nearby residents indicated that the deceased is not an habitant of the community.
