Renowned Ghanaian actor Mawuli Semevo has passed away at the age of 63.
The veteran actor succumbed to his injuries on Thursday, February 20, 2025, at Ridge Hospital, where he had been receiving treatment for severe burns sustained in a fire accident about a week earlier.
News of his critical condition was first made public on February 8, 2025, by Judith Addison of Beyond Burns International, a non-profit organization dedicated to supporting burn survivors.
Semevo, celebrated for his immense contributions to Ghanaian theatre and film, leaves behind a legacy of outstanding performances that helped shape the country’s entertainment industry.
His passing is a great loss to the creative arts community, with tributes pouring in from colleagues and fans.
