Vice President of Ghana, Professor Jane Naana Opoku-Agyemang, has officially launched the Africa Prosperity Dialogue 2025 in Accra, Ghana. This year’s dialogue is themed “Delivering Africa’s Single Market through Infrastructure: Invest. Connect. Integrate”
Professor Opoku-Agyemang emphasized the uniqueness of the dialogue, which brings together diverse voices from trade, industry, banking, and more to ensure Africa’s single market is inclusive and representative.
She noted that integration is crucial for Africa’s shared prosperity and aligns with the vision of the continent’s founding fathers and mothers.
The Vice President highlighted Ghana’s commitment to Africa’s integration and unity, citing the country’s support for initiatives like the African Continental Free Trade Area (AfCFTA).
She commended the Africa Prosperity Network and the AfCFTA Secretariat for creating a platform that brings together leaders from the public and private sectors to drive sustainable development.
Professor Opoku-Agyemang stressed that Africa’s fragmented markets hinder its economic potential, despite having a population of 1.4 billion people and a combined GDP of over $3.4 trillion.
The vice president emphasized that integration is key to unlocking opportunities, creating jobs for youth, and securing a brighter future for Africa.
