Two persons are in critical condition after police fired series of gunshots in violence at Agege Mile 8, a community near Tarkwa in the Western Region.
According reports, some angry youth of Agege and the Management of Anglogold Iduaprim clashed over the cutting of electricity supply to the entire community last night.
Speaking on Oyerepa Midday News, Nana Kwame Bawuah, Chief Linguist of Agege, said some police officers who were sent to calm the situation ended up firing of warning shots to deter the irate youth. In the process 2 persons were shot but no one died.
The victims are responding to medical treatment in a hospital at Tarkwa.
