The Greater Accra Regional Fire Officer, ACFO II Rashid Kwame Nisawu, has confirmed that two people sustained injuries while battling a warehouse fire at Larterbiokorshie.
According to him, one firefighter and a civilian fell from the roof of the burning structure during the operation. Both received emergency treatment from ambulance personnel before being transferred to the Komfo Anokye Teaching Hospital. They have since been treated, discharged, and are reported to be in stable condition.
The blaze, which gutted the warehouse, has been largely contained, though firefighters are still tackling isolated flames. Excavators have been brought in to assist in accessing deep-seated hotspots.
Five fire engines and tankers remain at the scene to ensure the fire is completely extinguished. Officials say they expect the area to be safe for residents to return to by evening.
