Two people have died and another injured following a motorcycle collision on the Nsuta–Beposo road in the Ashanti Region.
The accident occurred when two motorcycles, travelling in opposite directions, collided under circumstances that are still being investigated.
Reports indicate that one of the motorcycles was carrying a rider and a passenger, while the other had only the rider. The impact was fatal for two of the occupants, who died instantly at the scene. The remaining rider sustained serious injuries and was rushed to a nearby health facility for emergency treatment.
Residents who arrived at the scene described it as distressing and have called for increased caution among road users, particularly motorcyclists who frequent the route.
Police have intervened to manage the situation and have launched investigations to determine the cause of the crash. Authorities are urging all riders to observe traffic regulations and prioritise safety on the roads.
